Recently refurbished and extended to nearly three times its original size, Y+ Fitness has everything you need to improve your fitness, tone up, lose weight or increase strength and mobility.
Equipment is plentiful, with one room dedicated to cardio vascular machines, while the huge main hall is designed around resistance equipment and the principles of ‘Functional Fitness’.
Functional fitness or training is a very effective way of exercising using ‘old school’ techniques and equipment like kettle bells, free weights and medicine balls. It is based on the body’s natural movements, twists and bends that machinery sometimes can’t simulate. It is an efficient way to exercise and the Y+ team of instructors will design a fast and effective workout for you as part of the Get Started Programme which is included with membership.
The gym hall is also home to a boxfit area, riptrainers and TRX.

Over 50 classes each week
Classes are included with membership. From Zumba to Pilates and Ballet to Combat Fit there is something for all ages and levels of fitness. The full current timetable may be viewed here.
Canteen at YMCA
YMCA Wimbledon has a large child-friendly café upstairs. It is a good place to relax after a workout with a cappuccino or panini and you can check your emails with the free WiFi. YMCA Wimbledon is also home to Pod2 Soft Play.
Join or Pay As You Go
