Alison is an experienced Office Manager/Executive Assistant with financial planning and people management experience. She has an excellent breadth of knowledge as a result of a varied career in both the banking and not-for-profit sectors.
The YMCA is very much an integral part of Alison’s life. She first became a Board Member of Wimbledon and District YMCA in 1987 and has represented the YMCA at both regional and national level. Alison brings to the Board a breadth of experience of the YMCA Movement.
Alison has learnt much about the changing world of corporate governance over the years and is honoured to serve as the Chair of the newly-formed Board Improvement Group. She is completely committed to ensuring that the Board continuously improves the quality and positive impact of its governance, enabling it to truly focus on the key decisions.
Originally from Bolton in Lancashire, Alison’s favourite things are dogs, driving and the rugged northern coast of Cornwall, especially in the winter.
