Assistant Management Accountant

Location: YMCA Corporate

Contract: Maternity Cover (6 -12 Months)

Hours of Work: 40 Hours Per week

Shift Pattern: Worked during office hours (9am to 5pm) Monday to Friday, Subject to Alteration.

Salary: £30,700 Per annum

During these exciting times for the association, we are seeking a Assistant Management Accountant, at YMCA Corporate Office. As a member of the Finance team, you are expected to assist in the production of timely and reliable monthly management accounts, together with such accounts, statistics and other information as required by regulatory and statutory authorities and to compile any other reports required by managers and the Board.
To play a full part in the work of the Finance Department and to liaise with other staff within the Association as necessary and appropriate.

The Finance team maintain the Association’s financial records using a computer based accounting package (currently Sage 200). Monthly management accounts are produced using a Sage compatible reporting package. The annual Financial Statements together with supporting schedules required for audit and reporting data is collected from a range of other software packages, including AMIS and Pyramid for the housing function within the Association, and Gladstone Plus 2 for most other operational functions. Data from these packages is entered into the sales ledger, cash book or nominal ledger in Sage. The Association uses a budgeting/forecasting package (currently Adaptive Planning) to manage the production of its budgets, cash flow forecasts and business planning.
