Easter activities with Gorringe Park Primary School

As Gorringe Park Year 6 pupils are gearing up for their SATs exams, the first week of their Easter school holiday has been dedicated to booster classes in Maths and English to give them some extra help. YMCA was asked by Mitcham Cluster Development & Project Manager Madeleine Swords to follow the booster classes with lunchtime and afternoon activities to inject some fun into the week, funded by a grant from the local authority.

On Friday 17 March, 40 young people gathered together at Holy Trinity Church to sleep out overnight, to raise funds in support of the Merton Winter Night Shelter.

Interactive workshops led by paralympian Tim Prendergast

Our Employment and Life Skills workshop is a Big Lottery-funded initiative, seeking to improve the employability of people with a disability and mental illness, as well as teaching invaluable life skills. The workshop sessions are free, interactive and great fun, led by inspirational Paralympian runner Tim Prendergast.
