Fairtrade
In all our cafes and restaurants we sell Fairtrade tea and coffee.
As well as tasting great, we know that the people all over the globe who make a living from growing and selling these products are paid a fair price and not exploited.
As well as selling Fairtrade products, we’ve also taken part in various events to promote the cause, like the drumming workshop pictured above.
What is Fairtrade?
Products sold in the UK that carry the Fairtrade mark, show that they meet internationally agreed standards about price, working conditions, local sustainability and fair terms of trade.
In 2011, Fairtrade sales grew to a record 1319 (£ million) up on the previous year by 12%, proving that even in tough economic times people care how their food is produced.
