General Membership

We are a membership charity.  We don't mean gym membership or senior membership; we mean that anyone over the age of 18 who wishes to support our on-going work in the community can become a general member or what we call an ‘Associate Member’.

As an Associate Member you will receive regular updates about our projects and receive a copy of our Annual Review. More importantly, you’ll have an involvement in our future development and operations. You will be invited to attend our General Meetings (usually annually) where you’ll receive and be able to vote on reports from our Board and staff team. At these meetings it’ll also be your responsibility to elect Trustees onto the Board of Management, who are ultimately responsible for the governance of the Association.

More importantly, Associate Members are responsible for maintaining (or being in sympathy with) the Christian purpose of the Association and seek to make that purpose effective.

Becoming an Associate MemberIf you’d like to become an Associate Member, there are two membership options; Declared and Non-Declared. Declared membership is for active Christians and Non-Declared is for those of a different faith or none.

All members are requested to make an annual donation to support our work. For guidance, the Board suggest a minimum amount of £15 per year. Of course, if you are on benefits or unable to afford this, all we ask is that you give a donation of at least £1.
