John was born and raised in Bolton, Lancashire and has lived in south west London for over 30 years. He spent his College life at Liverpool University followed by a few years in local government.
John has a grown up family of three daughters, who keep him on his toes, and has run a Town Planning and Development Consultancy business for the last 18 years.
John first got involved in the Kingston YMCA in the mid 1990's helping with the acquisition of properties for 'move on' accommodation and has been working on behalf of the YMCA, home and abroad, ever since.
