An exciting opportunity has arisen within the vibrant Children and Families team for 2 Playworkers. Working alongside a strong and talented team, the successful applicants will be responsible on a day to day basis for the provision of breakfast/after school care, which is considered a key feature of our work and provides both a safe and secure environment for children to play and develop.
As well as possessing an NVQ level 2 in Playwork (or equivalent), naturally you will have exceptional interpersonal & communication skills, as the role has heavy involvement in promoting positive staff/parent relations.
Working on your own initiative and brimming with creative ideas, you will ensure that the play activities in the club, weekly term activity programmes, are varied and of an educational and enjoyable nature.
This role is subject to safeguarding checks including a DBS check in line with YMCA LSW procedures. YMCA LSW is a Christian organisation and as an employee, you will be required to respect the Christian ethos of the YMCA and uphold its values.
