Youth Work
At YMCA LSW, through dance, sport and music we provide opportunities for young people to be creative.
To learn an instrument or to play football with an FA qualified coach. At Open Room, young people have the chance to talk through problems with our staff on the streets of Wimbledon. At Skills Academy young people are given a second chance at finishing their education when in danger of being expelled. And at the Basement, a wide variety of activities and events take place including relaxed group discussions about faith and live gig nights.
The large majority of these activities are free to the young people. They are funded through surpluses in other areas of the Association, through grants or through donations to YouFund, a dedicated fund purely for our work with young people.
