Hours of Work: 35 Hours Per week
Shift Pattern: 35 hours spread over 7 hours per day, some days may be longer.
Salary: £16,136.24 Per annum

During these exciting times for the association, we are seeking a Breakfast and Afterschool Club Coordinator at YMCA At Mary’s School, Chessington. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team in the provision of high quality childcare and play opportunities for school age children; to liaise with parents and carers concerning the childrens’ care and to provide a healthy breakfast. You will be responsible for: creating an inclusive and safe environment for children; reporting and recording information about the setting; supporting and developing staff; ensuring that the setting operates within its budgetary parameters and take an active role in ensuring correct paperwork is completed when taking bookings.
We are looking for someone with a playwork background, who is able to lead on this provision, be creative in their approach to a variety of play opportunities, and provide a range of activities to meet the needs of children of different ages and skill levels. It is essential to have: an understanding of the Statutory EYFS requirements and knowledge of safeguarding and child protection processes; experience of leading and developing creative activities and play opportunities for children; good planning and organisational skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
