Managed by YMCA LSW, Hampton Pool is a community based charity providing swimming, health and fitness, catering functions and children’s programmes for the local community. We are currently seeking a vigilant and conscientious Lifeguard who will assist with delivering a programme of high quality swimming and dry-side activities, ensuring they are promoted and run efficiently throughout the year, in addition to ensuring the safety of our pool users and promoting the wellbeing of Hampton Pool. You will also undertake specific tasks as a member of the team to assist in the running and further development of the pool and its facilities.
It is essential that you are approachable with an aptitude for relating to and dealing with a wide range of people and to have a working knowledge of Health and Safety standards, emergency regulations and to comply with all requirements for both staff and the general public. It is essential to hold a pool lifeguard qualification; if not qualified, you will need to have achieved this within two months of taking up duties. The Pool’s services are very weather dependent, with different opening hours in the summer winter. The Summer season can be extremely busy and the winter period quieter, but with our regular users and classes keeping staff busy.
